Dr. Mike Ogirima and his Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN)’s counterpart, Ahmed I. Yakasai disclosed this in Lagos yesterday. They said the unions have raised some committees on inter- professional collaboration to ensure the implementation of the decision.

He stressed that both unions have advised their predecessors, Dr. Osahon Enabulele of NMA and Olumide Akintayo of PSN, to withdraw all lingering court cases and settle for peace.
The PSN president said other issues of inter-professional collaboration would be addressed at the 90th Annual National Conference of the society in Abia State. The event: “Abia 2017” would hold from November 6 to 11 in Umuahia, the state capital. The theme of the conference is: “Medicines Availability and National Security.”
He explained that the committee on inter professional collaboration is headed by the Publisher of PharmaNews and Vice President of NAP, Ifeanyi Atueyi. Ogirima added that the NMA would collaborate with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) to launch a seal in August to check quackery in the profession.“We must come together to protect our ministry through a harmonious relationship to move the health sector forward for the benefit of patients,” he said.
